Port of Hamburg Marketing is represented in China at two locations. From Shanghai and Hong Kong, its offices represent the interests of the Hamburg seaport industry, forging contacts with Chinese logistics and shipping companies, trade, industry and trade associations. They aim to position the universal port of Hamburg and companies based there on the Chinese market. The representative office in Shanghai covers the markets in Central and Northern China; and here not only Shanghai as the world’s largest container port, but also the ports in Tianjin, Qingdao, Dalian and Ningbo, along with the hinterland and its inland ports along the Yangtze as far as Chongqing.
HHM representatives look after member companies interested in the Chinese market. They also organize events and trade fairs, as well as itineraries for delegations and company visits. They are also available to advise on establishing firms, on contractual and legal matters, and on the search for business partners. In addition, for Chinese companies the representative offices are the first port of call when visitor programs need to be organized for the Port of Hamburg and other ports in the Metropolitan Region.
The representatives regularly coordinate their market activities in China and mutually support each other.
